  33. Good advice. A PAR (or other similar or better playback device) is a
  34. liberating thing for an animator.

  42. Pre SP betacam is noisier. If you're going to single frame, and you find a
  43. regular bcam deck that's in great condition cheap it would be worth
  44. considering. But an SP deck (including UVW) will give you a better picture 
  45. than a non SP deck. M2 decks, especially the newer Panasonics, are also 
  46. worth considering for single frame recording, but avoid the old JVC ones.
  47. Make sure your clients can handle the format you choose - choose a 
  48. format based on the needs of your clients.

  58. If you have a PAR, PVR, Flyer, Broadcaster, Targa, etc. that's the best first step.
  59. Then you have quick motion tests (you'll never do as many tests if you are single
  60. frame recording) and the ability for final output. Get the deck second. You won't
  61. need it as often so rental or working out a deal with a production company is
  62. possible until you've earned enough to afford your own.

  65. their animations with a portable deck.
